About the MD35 Main Icons
¿? 35 ¿*? 35 ¿*? 35 ¿*? 35 ¿*? 35 ¿*? 35 ¿*? 35 ¿*? 35 ¿*? 35 ¿*? 35 ¿?
The MD35 main icons (and the associated small icons) were prepared by
Leigh Murray, based on the cute Owl-Cameo picture by Mike Fuller from MD28.
Mike's picture was originally a full-screen picture in 16 colours, so
considerable detail was lost when it was reduced to 4 colours for use as an
icon. DeluxePhotoLab Colors was used for this, and then the image was
modified in Paint, and brushes were saved for the individual icon images.
IE icon editor (the latest, greatest version - about to be released) was
used to create the icons from the IFFs. New features in version 4 of IE
include AGA support, many configurable options, variable magnification,
scaling of images, and much faster scrolling and colour swapping. IEv4 can
only be used on Workbench 2 or higher.
The icons were mapped to the standard colours used in Workbench 1.3,
because that still seems to be the operating system used by the majority of
MegaDisc readers. If you are using Workbench 2 or higher, the icons will
look better remapped so that black and white are swapped (RemapInfo is one
of the easiest tools to use for this).
